The natural tendency in our universe is entropy, or for of things to lose energy and order. While we work towards simplifying our lives, the universe is becoming more unstructured. When we have fewer things in our lives, we have more time, but not necessarily the structure.
It's easy to start your day reacting to everything that comes your way, but much more satisfying and productive to focus and making the first step a meaningful one of forward movement.
