After coming to the realization that your time in this reality/world is finite, and every decision you make, including to spend part of it reading this essay, one possible next step is to consider two necessary prerequisites for this. First, why does this reality/world even exist and secondly, that you get to experience any of it? Even if what we get we consider too small or insignificant, why do we get it all?

After coming to the realization that your time in this reality/world is finite, and every decision you make, including to spend part of it reading this essay, one possible next step is to consider two necessary prerequisites for this. First, why does this reality/world even exist and secondly, that you get to experience any of it? Even if what we get we consider too small or insignificant, why do we get it all?
Our lives are the sum total of all the decisions we've made. Those decisions have excluded more experiences than included. After days, weeks, months, and years of making decisions you end up with what you call your life, yourself. A range of experiences that you have chosen that defines your finite being inextricably intertwined with the cosmic infinite.
Previously I wrote about the subtle difference of saying 'get to do' instead of 'have to do.' That's it our choice and within our control to change 'have' to 'get.' I 'get to' reinforces that it is our choice. Taking a step back, doesn't it seem incredible that we even get to do anything at all? That this exists and we exist within it, and are an intricate part of it?
We become the time, space, and reality of our existence, our decisions closing an infinite amount of possibilities until the sum of our decisions and actions define us as a distinct and unique signature that this reality/world only gets to experience once too. For it seems that it is a two-way street and what you become so does this reality/world.
