1) What are you working on now?

Hello, I am currently working on my full length GIA G 10 to 12 song for Slip Trick Records.

2) What is your musical background and influences?

Many, from classical music, to jazz, blues, pop, of course metal and rock. Tons of artists, guitarists, Eddie Van Halen, Jeff Beck, Alan Holdsworth, Ritchie Blackmore, Jimmy Page, Queen, Metallica, Iron Maiden, Randy Rhoads, Yngwie Malmsteen, Aerosmith, Ronnie James Dio... the list goes on and on.

3) What is the role of education in music?

I would say it plays a small role, but not as big as everyone thinks. A lot of artists don't know any musical theory, but it doesn't hurt though to have it in your repertoire.

4) How do you feel about the current ‘state of the music industry’?

Good and bad, the best thing is the internet, it can be a double edge sword, but before the internet it was extremely hard to get your name, music out there, internet has changed all that. But the bad is, no one buys CDs, or even pays for the music, stealing it, when you do get downloads and streams you don't paid a lot, plus back in the MTV day, there was one platform for new music and old music with music videos, today it's YouTube but everyone else is on there, plus all the other social media sites, Facebook, Instagram, TikTok, Twitter, etc, and labels today don't help bands like before. Today you have to pretty much do everything, you're the manager, promoter, the recording engineer etc, which takes away from the actual making of music. In the end, the music suffers.

5) Why do you use Pickboy guitar picks?

I've been playing them for years. It was probably my second pick after Dunlop. They have been very accurate for leads and rhythm.
