BIO :
One of the USA‘s most promising young musicians, Atlanta-based guitarist/composer Cameron Allen began his musical journey early in life. After receiving his first electric guitar for his sixth birthday, he spent his formative years composing, playing, and recording instrumental music.
After years of performing and recording with various projects, he attended the Atlanta Institute of Music, where he received the Merit Scholarship and graduated with honors in 2010.
In 2012, he garnered attention in the guitar community with the release of his album, Between The Lines.
He made even more waves when he won first place in the international Next BendNote Talent Competition for guitarists, held before a live panel of judges in Paris, France in December 2012!
Since then, Cameron has toured numerous times in Europe, Canada, and the United States with the Sixxis, supporting such bands as the Winery Dogs (Mike Portnoy, Billy Sheehan, Richie Kotzen), Spock's Beard, Ministry, and Riverside. And in 2014 he placed runner up in the Guitar Idol 4 competition in London, England!
Cameron is currently an instructor at the Atlanta Institute of Music, and remains in high demand as a performer, composer, session musician, and educator. He is a columnist for Guitar Interactive Magazine, and has a new instructional DVD soon to be released by guitar megasite LickLibrary!
He also has a new solo album set for release in late 2015!
