Steady 9 Compatibility

Boost-type 9V batteries can introduce high-frequency noise when used with EMG pickups; the Pure8.4 battery is recommended. If you play Silicon Fuzz or modern high-gain Fuzz, a 9V constant-voltage lithium battery is the superior choice. Silicon Fuzz pedals are generally designed for greater stability, and constant-voltage power ensures maximum punch and clarity.

Pure 8.4 Compatibility

Some audio equipment requires a stable 9V power supply; the Steady9 battery is recommended. If you play Germanium Fuzz pedals, we recommend trying an 8.4V lithium battery. Germanium Fuzz is extremely sensitive to voltage, and the tonal shift caused by voltage drop is the very soul of this effect.
