The JOYO BantamPs are small, light, portable, and loud. Weighing in at less than 3 lbs, these little amps really outshine expectations. All BantamPs feature 20 watts of power, 12AX7 Preamp tube, 2 channels - clean and overdrive, gain, tone, volume, Fx loop, Bluetooth, 8 or 16 ohm speaker output, 3.5mm headphone output, and include a power supply.
Are Bantamps loud and powerful?
Yes, Bantamps are compact but they are LOUD! The 12ax7 tube in the preamp section and the well designed circuits provide a much higher volume than transistor amps. The 12ax7 adds warmth and dynamics to the amp's sound. These amps work great in small and medium sized spaces and are perfect for rehearsals and small gigs.
Which Bantamp is right for you?
Atomic: The Atomic is an amplifier for those who love the timbre of vintage English amplifiers, used by George Harrison on recordings in the 60's. The Atomic works great for blues, rock and classic rock.
BaDass: If you're a bass player, then this is the Bantamp for you. The BaDass produces 50 watts into 4 ohms.
BlueJay: If you want a good clean sound, looking for sounds typically used in blues and jazz. It has a bright, clean, smooth and crystalline tone typical of many blues/jazz guitarists. The BlueJay is the only model among the BanTamps that does not have a drive channel, but the option to switch between the “Normal” and “Bright” channels. BlueJay ends up being the most versatile model of the BantTamps as it responds very well to drive pedals.
Firebrand: The Firebrand pairs an aggressive sound with a powerful punch. Firebrand delivers more accentuated mid-highs, providing more attack and a stronger punch.
Jackman: The Jackman sounds like an iconic British classic rock amp. With a light to medium saturation, Jackman has a warm tone, with accentuated mids, dynamics and attack typical of the sounds of guitarists of rock bands of the 70's.
Meteor: If you want a vintage drive sound, but also some modern sounds, the Meteor could be your ideal companion. It has a very flexible drive, ranging from a low gain crunch/overdrive to a high gain that can be used for many styles of music.
Tweedy: If you're looking for classic American vintage tone, than the Tweedy is your amp. Tweedy is perfect for classic rock and blues.
VIVO: VIVO is a high-gain sounding amplifier that defined the sound of modern heavy metal. Suitable for heavy metal, progressive metal, djent, or any style where you want distorted sounds with high gain. It has a very saturated and full sound, but with a slight cut in the mids.
Zombie: For music where high gain is required, the Zombie emulates the sound of California high gain amplifiers. The high gain tone is full and fat, with a lot of weight and sustain.
TIP 1: The Clean Channel in all the Bantamps works well as a pedal platform.
TIP 2: Use an EQ pedal in the effects loop to get more tone shaping.
