Story: NAMM 2017
No need to debate the attendance figures for the 2017 Winter NAMM show. I've been attending NAMM since 1987 and this show was one of the best attended.
The runaway hit of the show was the introduction of new Mooer Micro preamp series. Ten separate preamps emulate amp tones from Vox, Marshall, Mesa Boogie and 7 others. Not only do these preamps capture the essence of their namesakes they also feature A/B channel switching at a street price of $98. Can you say Game Changer?

Brubaker Guitars has leaked their BIPS (Brubaker Interchangeable Preamp System). This new system allows you to load your favorite after market preamp in 5 seconds. Change your tone not your Bass!
Phil Jones Amplification introduced a new series of cabs featuring tweeters and larger drivers. As well as Session 77 Bass Amp to round out the series.
Hipshot introduced the 5 string version of their Kickass series of bass bridges. Based on the industry standard and no longer produced BassAss bridges.
In with The New:
Jose Ferro, formerly of ESP Guitars, has a new company called JFerro Guitars.
Richard Rouse, formerly of SWR Amplification, has a new bass amp company called TrickFish.
Mayones Guitars debuted the Federico Malaman signature bass.
