Exclusive Interview

1) What are you working on now?

About my solo career, I'm writing new material that will be hopefully released in 2020. I'm also working intensively as session player for various artist, specially with Italian Pop singer/songwriter Andrea Belfiori and American Bluesman Tomas Doncker. Even studio works are going ahead producing some new young artists.

2) What is your musical background and influences?

My musical background is so various that would be hard for me make a list. I basically love all African-American music from jazz to blues, soul and funk. As you can hear from my playing Rock is also a main influence, from sixties to modern shredders.

3) What is the role of education in music?

As music instructor i would say that academic background is a good way to make things easier and figure out pretty everything is going around you when you play. Talent is another thing but you have to make it grow and keep it on anyway.

4) How do you feel about the current ‘state of the music industry’?

Music industry nowadays is slave of "social" and virtual networking that basically decides what is good and what's not. Honestly, I prefer a real audience in a live concert.

5) Why do you use Rockready gig bags?

Rockready gig bags are really smart designed products, slim and resistant. I actually forgot about hard cases since I have my Rockready bag!
