hand-made, hand-selected music products Pick: Edge Ultem 088 | Sergio Michel Sergio Michel is an experimental purist. He starts his tone from the ground up, starting with the tubes in his heads to the drivers in his cabinet, the type of pickups he uses in his guitar to the pick he has in his hand. Sergio uses Pickboy 'The Edge' picks to bring him a crisp and clear stiff precise attack for soloing, while retaining the comfort and pliability to deliver tight and vivid rhythm parts. Sergio is an all over the place and versatile player, and he chooses Pickboy 'The Edge' picks because they are versatile and long lasting. Being an experimental purist means capturing and fusing the best of both worlds, and Pickboy picks provide just that. Bio: Sergio Michel debuts a new album named, 'Marry Me, Cindy' at a red carpet event at the legendary Gibson Guitar Showroom in Miami, FL on October 27th, 2011. Besides this new highly anticipated release, Sergio has also released in 2011, an all acoustic album titled, Sorrowful Psalms: Uplifting 'Depressing' Music, and a retrospective album spanning 1998-2008 titled, Early Collection: First Decade. Sergio is currently featured in SHS International's July Corporate Newsletter and SFL Music Magazine's March 2011 edition on Page 29. He recently appeared in the 9th Annual TV Land Awards, and on YES Network's CenterStage with special guest James Caan. Sergio was also the artist exhibiting for Brace Audio and Ultrasone at the 2010 Summer NAMM. He has endorsements with Pickboy Picks, Mod Tone Effects, and Kam Instruments. Sergio has also worked on the development teams for Overloud, creating patches for the widely popular TH1 guitar processor software; on the beta team for the Moog Guitar by Moog; and beta testing and demonstration on prototypes of the revolutionary LTH-1 guitar and Naturacoustic pickups by Lashbrook Guitars. He has fronted the metal bands Matranka and Magnarok, and worked and collaborated musically in various degrees with artists such as Joe Lynn Turner (Deep Purple/Rainbow/Yngwie Malmsteen), Metal Mike Chlasiak (Pain Museum/Halford), Sebastian Bach (Skid Rowe), Ugandan activist Omona Tempra and model/actress Monika Gaba.
