Jeremy Krull is a multi-instrumentalist and producer originally from New York and currently based in Los Angeles as well as a graduate of Berklee College Of Music.
He started playing guitar at 5, and by the time he reached 10 he was proficient on drums, bass, and keyboards as well. Since 1999 he has been composing, performing, and recording his own original music, with a small EP release in 2001, and then a larger album release in 2004 which was almost entirely self-produced. Around that time he would also begin recording and mixing music for other people as well, which ultimately would be the infant stages of what is now known as Strategic Sonics, his production company. Since 2004 he has handled production, engineering, mixing, and/or mastering duties literally spanning the globe stylistically ranging from pop to country to death metal, as well as serving as consultant and/or assistant/editor to some legendary engineers and musicians. Clientele and collaborators include Mick Guzauski (engineering legend), Dave Weiner (Steve Vai), Francesco Artusato (All Shall Perish), Giovanni Durst (White Wizzard), and Terry Syrek (underground guitar legend).
After years of shelving possible material for new solo records, 2013 will see Jeremy back in the driver's seat as both composer and performer on a new full length album called (de)Tested which travels to an even heaver (and especially darker) place than his last compositional output. Working on his music in tandem with the Strategic Sonics clientele, he has always jokingly referred to leading a "double life."
Jeremy enjoys movies, driving, long walks on the beach, and a good iced tea.
Says Jeremy about Pickboy picks, "I use these things because they rule, and they make playing the instrument a hell of a lot more fun." And, "One of my many surgical instruments of doom. Excels at bass and clean guitar parts."
