Music career:
Cris started to play music at the age of 6 taking accordion lessons, which were immediately followed by taking keyboard and piano lessons. At the age of 14, he decided to play the guitar. It was love at first chord! For two years he taught himself how to move around the fretboard and at the age of 16 he started to take workshop lessons with Sascha Gerstner (guitarist for HELLOWEEN) for about 4 years.
After several band/cover projects in Germany within more than 800 shows, he started working as professional session/live and studio guitar player. In the beginning of 2011 Cris joined the Austrian symphonic metal band Visions of Atlantis on their European tour with Rhapsody of Fire and has becoming a fixed member in September 2011. The new EP "Maria Magdalena" of Visions of Atlantis will be the first record that includes only guitar-work written by himself (except the song "Last Shut of Your Eyes", which is a re-recorded song from a former record of Visions of Atlantis).
Recently, Cris is going to create some new projects, for example with the professional Italian drummer Raphael Saini.
Beyond that Cris is announced as a session guitar player for Serenity on their "Out of the Dark" festival-tour in October 2011.
