The Compression control simultaneously adjusts compression ratio and release. It remains very natural and subtle but it can also do exaggerated squash (perfect for funk) if you crank this control.
The Tone control allows the user to really dial in the pedal for individual instruments.
The Volume control makes it easy to compensate for perceived volume drop when the compressor is active, pull the level back when the compression is cranked or even to act as an awesome clean boost.
